Well here we are. We find ourselves in March 2021 and on the doorstep of springtime in Maine. I am feeling hopeful once again. I’m hoping you are as well. The sap is running and today we will start boiling it down. We tap five maples each year and it gives us enough sap to make about 1.5 gallons of syrup; just enough for the two of us for the year and to share with our kids.
My veggie seeds are waiting to be direct sown. The planting plan for the potager is drawn up and ready to go. I pruned the Ruby Tears weeping crab this week. Bring on spring!!
In regard to fairs and events this year, it seems the American Craft Fair at Tower Hill Botanic Garden will be a go. The dates are October 23 and 24, 2021. I have yet to hear about any other events, but will keep you posted here and on my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/TMGWildArtandCraft
Stay well, my friends.
